When members receive these types of services from designated LP providers, they have no out-of-pocket cost for lab testing, and surgical procedures take only a copayment. Normally these services would be applied toward the member’s deductible. This feature is ideal for anyone with chronic medical conditions that require routine blood sampling. Examples of chronic conditions include: diabetes, thyroid disorders, high cholesterol and conditions that require taking blood thinners.
