Michael J. Shea Elected Vice Chair
 
Wellesley, MA (June 01, 2017) – Harvard Pilgrim has elected Joyce A. Murphy Chair and Michael A. Shea Vice Chair of its governing board, both for two-year terms.
 
Murphy, who has been a member of the Harvard Pilgrim board since 2009, has served as Vice Chair and has also chaired the Nominating and Governance Committee.  She is the Executive Vice Chancellor of Commonwealth Medicine, the health policy, operations, care delivery and consulting division of the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
 
Shea, who is a CPA, is a member of the Harvard Pilgrim board since 2014, has served as Chair of the Audit Committee and is also a member of the Finance Committee.  He retired as executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Mac-Gray Corporation, provider of laundry facilities management to colleges and the multi-family housing industry.  Shea’s other board memberships include companies in the property and casualty insurance, wealth management and private banking industries.
