To support our commitment to improve service and simplify doing business with us, we have a new, easy process to submit Broker of Record (BOR) letters for group business.
All group business BORs should be submitted electronically via our Broker Email Box.
Please feel free to cc: your Account Executive. There are several benefits:
- Eliminates confusion about how/where to submit
- Faster turnaround by eliminating multiple hand-offs
- Confirmation of receipt
As you know, BORs on existing brokered group accounts become effective on the first of the month following receipt of a valid and dated letter on the account’s letterhead and signed by an officer of the account changing the Broker of Record. This now means that the change will only become effective on the first of the month after we receive the BOR in Broker Relations.
Please note: you can also submit an Identification of Third-Party Representative Form*, which is a client authorization allowing you to perform certain functions on behalf of the client, you should enclose a copy of that form with the BOR when submitting to the broker email box.
