About ChoiceNet tiers
Members pay less when they go to doctors and hospitals in lower tiers
More than 75% of doctors and hospitals are in Tier 1 and Tier 2
All three tiers include doctors and hospitals from our Quality Honor Rolls
Tier 1 includes other providers like chiropractors, optometrists, physical therapists and all behavioral health services
Emergency room care is always Tier 1 (regardless of hospital tier)
Note: ChoiceNet plans are currently available to employers based in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
This plan includes a tiered provider network called ChoiceNet. In this plan, members pay different levels of cost sharing depending on the tier of the provider delivering a covered service or medical supply. A provider's benefit tier may change annually on January 1. Please consult the Harvard Pilgrim ChoiceNet Provider Search Tool to determine a provider's tier in the ChoiceNet Network. You may also call Harvard Pilgrim at 1-888-333-4742 to request a paper copy of the provider directory.
