Beginning on July 5th, Harvard Pilgrim is launching a pilot incentive program that rewards Connecticut small employer group members with a $50 gift card upon completing an annual wellness visit. To receive a gift card, the member must log onto Harvard Pilgrim’s wellness website, set up an account, and note the name of the physician and date of the exam. This small reward is our way of saying congratulations to members for their commitment to staying healthy.
There is no additional work for providers — nothing additional to confirm, sign, or submit to Harvard Pilgrim. Simply conduct any wellness exams as usual. The information from these visits helps us identify members who may benefit from participating in our disease and care management programs, and it aids us in accurately reporting on the health of our member population for regulatory purposes. Given this, please be sure to include all relevant coding, such as secondary diagnosis codes for conditions that you are monitoring, assessing, or treating.
