Beginning February 24 at 8 p.m., CAQH is converting from the Universal Provider DataSource to CAQH ProView, and will be unavailable from that date through the morning of March 2, when the new version is scheduled to launch.
The updated credentialing and recredentialing application will offer new features that increase ease of use and functionality for providers, including:
- The ability for providers to join CAQH directly
- The ability to upload supporting documents directly into the application, eliminating the need for fax submissions
- More focused prompts and real-time validation of selected data elements to avoid delays in application processing
If you have entered new data recently, be sure to attest to your information before February 24 to ensure that your data is carried over to the new system. Additionally, certain fields that are currently optional, such as email address, will be required to facilitate password reset functions.
The Healthcare Administration Solutions (HCAS) website is an excellent source of information on the transition to CAQH ProView and includes resources such as a provider FAQ and helpful user guides. Harvard Pilgrim is a participating member of HCAS, a health plan collaborative founded in 2005 to simplify administrative processes for providers and health insurers.
Please note that if any changes have occurred in your practice — a change in address, an addition to or change in tax identification number (TIN), adding an LCU affiliation, etc. — including the updated information in your online CAQH ProView application will not automatically update it in Harvard Pilgrim’s system. It’s important to inform Harvard Pilgrim about any changes to your practice in writing, and we recommend that you use the Harvard Pilgrim Provider Change Form for this purpose.
