Health Plans Acquires TrestleTree for Wellness Management

Health Plans, Inc. (HPI) recently acquired TrestleTree, Inc., a nationwide wellness management services provider with a track record of lowering health care costs for large employers.

TrestleTree — which is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas and employs about 40 people — offers behavior coaching to companies across the nation. TrestleTree’s programs aim for significant and sustainable change for employees and their families, regardless of motivation level or severity of condition. Programs include health risk assessment, smoking cessation, weight and stress management, exercise programs, and analysis of gaps in care, and are supported by TrestleTree’s unique software for progress monitoring and reporting.

TrestleTree’s services complement and enhance HPI and Harvard Pilgrim’s existing care management programs. In the coming months, we will be working together to determine how to best offer results-oriented behavior coaching to our employer partners in an effort to foster and maintain healthy lifestyles among our members.

HPI, a Harvard Pilgrim company, is a leading regional Third Party Administrator of customized self-funded benefit plans.
