With our Medicare Advantage StrideSM (HMO) and StrideSM of New Hampshire (HMO) plans taking effect at the beginning of the year, Harvard Pilgrim has begun registering participating providers in the Medicare Advantage Stride Provider Portal. The Medicare Advantage Provider Portal supports a variety of online transactions, such as verifying patient eligibility, sending referrals, submitting and tracking claims, reviewing the status of authorization requests, and checking member eligibility and copayment amounts.
Beginning earlier this month, Harvard Pilgrim began the first phase of registration for Stride participating providers by contacting select large provider groups and guiding them through registration on the portal. If your provider group would like to participate, please contact your Provider Relations Consultant. Once this phase of registration is complete, we will open registration to all our Medicare Advantage participating providers. Look to future issues of Network Matters and visit our new Medicare Advantage Stride (HMO) web page for more information about general registration.
Please keep in mind that the Medicare Advantage Provider Portal is a tool for our Stride (HMO) plans only. For all other Harvard Pilgrim products, including our Medicare Enhance and Medicare Supplement senior plans, please continue to use existing e-business tools, such as HPHConnect and NEHEN.
Provider Manual and Other Resources
The Medicare Advantage web page includes other helpful tools and resources for getting started as a Stride (HMO) provider. Our Medicare Advantage Stride (HMO) website includes an overview of the Stride (HMO) plans, the Medicare Advantage Provider Manual, and a quick reference guide for providers. This one-page handy reference includes information on how to verify eligibility, request authorizations, and submit claims. It also provides an overview of the plan benefits and key contacts.
