New Publication on Healthy Eating For Older Adults

The Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation has developed a Portuguese language version of our publication “Healthy, Delicious Food at Every Age,” which is designed to assist older adults in making intelligent nutritional choices and positive lifestyle changes. The publication serves as an excellent resource to share with your older Portuguese-speaking patients. It provides easy-to-use information on eating and living well as an older adult, including tips on portion control and how to shop for and cook healthy meals, as well as easy recipes, important information on how food interacts with common medications, and instructions for starting a container garden.

Harvard Pilgrim encourages you to share the above link with your older Portuguese-speaking patients, or the link to the English language version found here for your older English-speaking patients, to help guide them in catering to their changing nutritional needs and leading healthy lives. If you would like to be mailed a printed version of the publication, email Deborah_Liu@harvardpilgrim.org to request a free copy.

“Healthy, Delicious Food at Every Age” reflects the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation’s mission to improve the quality and value of health care for the people and communities we serve by providing the tools, training, and leadership to build healthy communities throughout our service area. Visit the “Our Foundation” section of Harvard Pilgrim’s website to learn more about the Foundation and its health- and nutrition-related initiatives, such as the Healthy Food Fund.
