Mindfulness CME/CNE Program Offered

Together with Boston University School of Medicine, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care is presenting an online CME/CNE accredited program on the benefits of mindfulness. The course — entitled “Mindfulness: How the Science and Practice of Awareness Supports Well-Being and Performance” — will help train clinicians on how mindfulness practices can enhance patient-centered communication, resulting in more engaged patients and, in turn, encouraging better patient outcomes.

The course is presented by Judson Brewer, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor in Medicine and Psychiatry at UMass Medical School, and Tara Healey, M.Ed, Program Director for Mindfulness Based Learning at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. It consists of 5 video segments, each of which is approximately 40 minutes long.

Tuition is $150 for physicians and $125 for nurses, and includes 3.75 CME credits. For more information on the program and to register, please visit the course listing on the Boston University School of Medicine website.
